Privacy Policy for Garden Tiles

Last updated: October 19, 2026
Effective date: October 19, 2026

Garden Tiles ("Garden Tiles", the "Game", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Pristn Technologies LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Nebraska, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Garden Tiles mobile game and related services (together, the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have.

This Policy applies wherever the Game is offered. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Quick summary

This summary is for convenience only. Please read the full Policy for details.

  • What Garden Tiles is. A relaxing mahjong solitaire game with a story: you match pairs of tiles to clear boards, and every board you clear restores something in a village garden. It also has Free Tile (endless boards), a daily puzzle and the Garden Show, a weekly series of boards with leaderboards and friends.
  • What we collect. A random player identifier; your game progress (your gardens, boards cleared, seeds, the tiles, tables and picture pieces you own and use, achievements, streaks and records), which is saved on your device and backed up to the cloud; the player name you choose, which gets a number added to it (for example, Wren#1234); your Garden Show points; and your friends list. If you sign in with Google Play Games or Apple, we receive an account identifier from them. Our advertising partners collect device identifiers to show ads, as described in Section 7.
  • Ads and purchases. Garden Tiles is free and shows ads: a banner at the bottom of the screen, a video after some of the boards you clear, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for seeds, a hint, a shuffle, more undos or double seeds. You can buy seed packs, and one-time purchases that remove the videos between boards or all ads, through the Apple App Store or Google Play. What you buy is a license to use it in the Game, not ownership, as our Terms of Use explain. We never see or store your card or banking details.
  • What we do NOT collect. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or calendar. We do not send marketing email, and the Game sends no push notifications.
  • What other players can see. Your player name, your picture and frame, your Garden Show points and place, and your gardener card (a few counts and the achievements you have earned) are visible to other players. Friend requests need your full name with its number, which you choose who to share with.
  • Your control. You can play without connecting a Google or Apple account, decline personalized ads where consent applies (and change your mind later in the Game's Settings), limit ad tracking in your device's settings, and delete your account and its cloud data from inside the Game at any time (Section 13).
  • Age. Garden Tiles is not directed to children under 13.

2. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal information is:

Pristn Technologies LLC
Omaha, Nebraska 68127, United States
Privacy contact: info@pristntechnologies.com
Support: contact@pristntechnologies.com

For users in Brazil, our data protection officer ("encarregado") can be reached at info@pristntechnologies.com.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide

  • Player name. When you start playing you choose a player name (2 to 16 letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores). Our account provider adds a number to it to make it unique (for example, Wren#1234). Your name, without the number, is shown on the Garden Show leaderboards, on your gardener card and in your friends' lists, so pick a name you are comfortable showing publicly and do not use your full real name or other personal details in it.
  • Optional sign-in. You can play as a guest. You can also connect Google Play Games (on Android) or Sign in with Apple (on iPhone, where available) so you can recover your garden on another device. From the provider we receive an account identifier and the basic details needed to link it to your game account; we use them to identify you, not to send you marketing. If you sign in with Apple, we do not ask for your email address.
  • Friend requests. If you add a friend, you enter their name with its number; we use it only to send them your request.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support, we receive the information in your message and your contact details.

3.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Player identifier. The Game creates a random player identifier through Unity Authentication so your garden can be saved and synced. As a guest this identifier is anonymous and tied to your installation; if you connect Google Play Games or Apple, it is linked to that account.
  • Game progress. Your story progress (gardens and the repairs and decorations unlocked), boards cleared, seeds, the tile sets, tables, hats, garden friends and frames you own and which ones you use, purchases that removed ads, achievements, daily puzzle dates and streaks, Free Tile and Garden Show records (such as boards cleared per size, best times and runs), and the date you accepted these terms. This is saved on your device and backed up to Unity Cloud Save, so it survives a new phone or a reinstall once you sign in again.
  • Your gardener card. A small public card kept in Unity Cloud Save that other signed-in players can open from the leaderboard or their friends list: your picture and frame, the number of gardens you have restored and boards you have cleared, your best daily streak, your Garden Show all-time points and best weekly place, how many collection pieces you own, and the achievements you have earned. It does not contain your name or anything else from your save.
  • Garden Show results. Your points this week and in all weeks, with your picture and frame, are sent to Unity Leaderboards to place you on the weekly and all-time boards.
  • Friends data. If you use friends, Unity Friends stores your friends list and the requests you have sent and received.
  • Device and technical information. Device model, operating system and version, app version, language and region settings, and similar technical data, used to run the Game and fix problems. When your device connects to our service providers, your IP address is processed to deliver the connection and protect against abuse.
  • Settings stored only on your device. Your music, sound, vibration and reduce-motion settings stay on your device and are not sent to us.

When you tap Share in the Game's Friends screen, the Game creates a link that contains your player name with its number (for example, https://pristntechnologies.com/gardentiles/get?ref=Wren%231234) and hands it to the app you choose, such as a messaging app. Anyone who opens the link can see that name. When your friend opens it:

  • If they already have Garden Tiles, the link opens the Game, which fills in your name in Friends so they can send you a request with one tap. Nothing is sent until they tap Send.
  • On Android, if they don't have the Game yet, the link takes them to Google Play with your name attached as the install referrer. On its first launch the Game reads that referrer from Google Play once, to fill in your name.
  • On iPhone, if they don't have the Game yet, the link opens a page on our website that, when they tap to get the Game, copies the invite link to the clipboard. On its very first launch the Game checks the clipboard once for an invite link; iOS asks for permission before the Game can read it, and if it is declined nothing is read. If the clipboard holds something other than an invite link, the Game ignores it and does not keep it.

The Game keeps the name from an invite only on that device, only until the friend request is made or dismissed, and for no more than 30 days. Our website does not store invite links; the page is generated for each visit and is not cached.

3.4 Information collected by advertising partners

Our advertising partners (Section 7) collect information from your device to deliver and measure ads, including your device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA, subject to your device settings and your choices), IP address, coarse (city-level) location derived from IP, device model and operating system, the app and its version, your interactions with ads (such as views, taps and whether a rewarded video was watched to the end), and ad performance and diagnostic data. We do not receive this raw data; we receive aggregate reporting, and a signal that a rewarded video you chose to watch has finished so the Game can give you its reward.

3.5 Information from third parties

  • Sign-in providers. If you connect Google Play Games or Apple, the provider sends us an account identifier and basic account details so we can create or access your game account.
  • App stores. When you make a purchase, we receive purchase confirmation and entitlement information (product, transaction identifier and store) from the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your payment card or bank details.

4. Device permissions

Garden Tiles asks for very little from your device. It uses network access to sync your garden, run the Garden Show and friends, and show ads, but the story, Free Tile and the daily puzzle can be played offline. On Android it uses the vibration permission for optional haptic feedback (which you can turn off in Settings), the billing permission that lets you buy through Google Play, and the advertising ID permission used by our ad partners. On iPhone, the Game may ask for permission to track under App Tracking Transparency (Section 7), and iOS asks before the Game can read the clipboard (Section 3.3). Garden Tiles does not request access to your camera, photos, contacts, calendar, microphone or precise location.

5. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide the Game: boards, story progress, seeds, the collection, achievements, the daily puzzle and the Garden Show.
  • Save your garden and sync it across your devices.
  • Run the Garden Show leaderboards and show gardener cards.
  • Run friends: friend requests, friends lists, invite links and the friends tab of the leaderboard.
  • Show ads, including the rewarded videos you choose to watch, give you their rewards, and measure their delivery (Section 7).
  • Process your purchases and deliver what you bought, including restoring one-time purchases.
  • Protect the Service: prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and keep the Garden Show fair.
  • Fix problems and improve stability and performance.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not send marketing email, and we do not use your game data to build advertising profiles ourselves. Advertising personalization, where it happens, is performed by the advertising partners described in Section 7, subject to your choices.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the EU and UK GDPR or Brazil's LGPD), we rely on:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the Game you request, including your account, cloud saves, the Garden Show, friends and purchases.
  • Consent: for personalized advertising where consent is required, for tracking on iPhone where App Tracking Transparency applies, and for the iPhone clipboard check, which iOS asks you to allow. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the Game secure and fair, to show contextual (non-personalized) advertising that funds a free game, to let invite links fill in a friend's name, and to improve reliability, balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.

7. Advertising

Garden Tiles is free because it shows ads. Advertising in the Game is delivered through Unity LevelPlay, an ad mediation platform from Unity Technologies, which works with ironSource Ads, Unity Ads and Google AdMob to fill each ad. There are three kinds of ads:

  • A banner at the bottom of the screen.
  • Videos between boards, shown after some of the boards you clear (never more often than once every two minutes), each after a short "ad break" notice.
  • Rewarded videos that you choose to watch: for seeds in the shop, for an extra hint or shuffle, for two more undos on a board, or to double the seeds a board gives you. These never play without your tap, and the reward needs the video to play to the end.

You can buy "No video ads", which removes the videos between boards, or "No ads at all", which removes the banner too. Rewarded videos stay available after either purchase, because you only ever see them when you ask.

To deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, detect fraud and measure performance, these partners process the device information described in Section 3.4, including your device advertising identifier.

Personalized versus non-personalized ads. Where the law requires consent (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the Game asks before ads are personalized, using Google's consent tool, and you can decline; you then receive non-personalized ads instead. The choice you make there is passed on to our ad partners. Until you have made a choice there, the Game shows no ads. On iPhone, the Game asks for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency before your advertising identifier can be used for tracking; if you decline, it is not. Where consent is not required, ad partners may use your advertising identifier for personalization subject to your device settings and the choices below.

Your choices.

  • In the Game. If the Game showed you the consent form, you can review or change your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the Game's Settings.
  • On iPhone. Tap "Ask App Not to Track" when the Game asks, or later turn off tracking for Garden Tiles, or "Allow Apps to Request to Track", in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
  • On Android. Use "Delete advertising ID" (or, on older versions, "Opt out of Ads Personalization") in your device's Settings, under Privacy, Ads (or Google, Ads). Apps, including Garden Tiles and its ad partners, can then no longer use your advertising identifier.
  • In an ad. Ads from Unity's network may carry a privacy icon that lets you decline certain personalized ads from that network.

Ad partners act as independent controllers (or, in some cases, joint controllers) for some of this processing under their own privacy policies: Unity Technologies, for LevelPlay, ironSource Ads and Unity Ads (Game Player and App User Privacy Policy), and Google, for AdMob and its consent tool (Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services).

8. How we share information

We share information only as described here. We do not sell your personal information for money. Note that under some U.S. state laws, the transfer of device identifiers to advertising partners for personalized advertising may be considered "sharing" or a "sale"; Section 16.2 explains your opt-out rights.

  • With other players, in the Game. Your player name, picture and frame, Garden Show points and place, and your gardener card are visible to other players, as described in Section 10. Your name with its number is visible to anyone you share it or an invite link with.
  • With service providers (processors). Trusted providers operate parts of the Service on our instructions (Section 9).
  • With advertising partners. As described in Section 7.
  • For legal reasons. If required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Pristn Technologies LLC, our players or the public, including investigating cheating or fraud.
  • In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.

9. Service providers

We rely on the following third parties to provide the Service. Each receives only the information needed for its function.

ProviderPurposeInformation involved

AppleApp distribution, purchases on iPhone, and optional Sign in with ApplePurchase status and entitlements; sign-in identifier if used. Billing is handled by Apple; we never receive card data
VercelHosting our website, including the invite link pagesIP address and request data, processed to serve the page

The Unity game engine that Garden Tiles is built on may also collect limited device and diagnostic data needed to run the engine, as described in Unity's privacy documentation.

10. Leaderboards, friends, and public information

The Garden Show is social by design. When you play it, your player name (shown without its number), your picture and frame, your points and your place appear on the weekly and all-time leaderboards, where other players can see them, and other players can open your gardener card from there. Friends see the same on the friends tab and in their friends list. Friend requests can only be sent to a full name with its number, so the people who can send you one are the people you have shared it with (directly or in an invite link). You can remove a friend, decline a request or take back one you sent at any time. Choose a player name you are comfortable making public; do not use your full real name or personal details in it. You can remove yourself from the boards and from other players' lists by deleting your account (Section 13).

11. Children's privacy

Garden Tiles is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, to the extent your local law requires it. In some countries the age below which parental consent is required may be higher (up to 16 in parts of the European Union); where that applies, a parent or guardian must provide consent.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without the required consent, contact us at info@pristntechnologies.com and we will take steps to delete it.

12. Data retention

  • Game progress and account data are kept while your account exists, so your garden stays saved and synced.
  • Guest data is tied to your installation. Deleting the app removes the copy on your device; if you never connected Google Play Games or Apple, the anonymous cloud copy can no longer be reached and is subject to routine deletion.
  • Leaderboard entries are kept for the life of each board: the weekly board starts again every Monday, and the all-time board keeps your total. Deleting your account removes your entries (Section 13).
  • Invite names are kept only on the receiving device, for no more than 30 days (Section 3.3).
  • Purchase records are kept as needed for accounting and legal compliance.
  • Backups kept by our providers for disaster recovery may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.

13. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your Garden Tiles account and its data at any time from inside the Game:

  1. On the home screen, tap your picture or your name to open My profile.
  2. Tap Delete my account.
  3. Confirm with Delete for good.

When you delete your account:

  • We remove your friends and any friend requests from Unity Friends, remove your entries from the Garden Show leaderboards, and delete your saved garden and your gardener card from Unity Cloud Save. Then we delete your account, with its player name, from Unity Authentication.
  • The Game also wipes the progress saved on that device.
  • Seeds, collection pieces and purchases are lost with the account. One-time purchases (No video ads, No ads at all) stay tied to your Apple or Google account and can be restored on iPhone from the shop, or are restored automatically by Google Play; seed packs cannot be restored.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deletion needs a connection; if you are offline, the Game tells you and nothing is deleted.

Without the Game. If you no longer have the Game installed, or need help, email info@pristntechnologies.com from any address with the subject "Delete my Garden Tiles account" and your player name with its number (for example, Wren#1234), which you can find in My profile or in Friends. We may ask you to confirm the request, and we will delete the account and the data above within the time required by law, and in any case within 30 days.

14. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Connections between the Game and our service providers use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), and each player's saved data can only be written by that player's own signed-in account. Your gardener card can be read by other signed-in players, as described in Section 10. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and the service providers listed in Section 9 process data in the United States and in other countries where they operate. If you use the Service from outside the United States, including from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Canada, Brazil, Japan or South Korea, your information will be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses implemented by our providers, and on the necessity of the transfer to provide the Service you request.

16. Your privacy rights

Subject to your local laws and to verification of your identity, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. You can exercise the most important rights directly in the Game: play as a guest, change your player name in My profile, decline personalized ads where the consent form is offered (and change that choice in Privacy choices in Settings), and delete your account (Section 13). For any other request, contact us at info@pristntechnologies.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

16.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the legal bases in Section 6 apply to our processing, and you have the rights listed above, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests and the right to withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority or, in the UK, with the Information Commissioner's Office.

16.2 United States (including California)

We do not sell personal information for money. However, disclosures of device advertising identifiers and related device information to advertising partners for personalized ads may constitute "sharing" (for cross-context behavioral advertising), "targeted advertising" or a "sale" as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws in other U.S. states.

Your right to opt out. You can opt out at any time with your device's settings described in Section 7: on iPhone, by not allowing Garden Tiles to track you; on Android, by deleting your advertising ID. Either stops our ad partners from receiving your advertising identifier, so ads are no longer personalized with it. If you have questions about opting out, contact info@pristntechnologies.com.

Your other rights. California residents and residents of other U.S. states with comparable laws may also request to know, access, correct and delete their personal information, and may designate an authorized agent. Contact info@pristntechnologies.com; we may need to verify your request, for example with your player name and its number. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

16.3 Canada (PIPEDA and provincial laws)

If you are in Canada, you may request access to and correction of your personal information and may withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

16.4 Brazil (LGPD)

If you are in Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados gives you the rights to confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of unnecessary data, portability, information about sharing, and withdrawal of consent, and the right to petition the ANPD. Contact our encarregado at info@pristntechnologies.com.

16.5 Other countries

Many other countries where Garden Tiles is available, including Japan (APPI), South Korea (PIPA) and countries in Latin America, provide similar rights under their own laws. If you live in one of these countries, you may exercise the rights granted by your local law by contacting us at info@pristntechnologies.com.

17. Do Not Track

We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no common industry standard for them in mobile games. Your advertising choices are controlled as described in Section 7 and Section 16.2.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice, such as asking you to review and accept the updated documents when you next open the Game. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
